Facilitator Training & Members MUN Day

UN Youth Tasmania will be holding a dual Facilitator Training & Members MUN event on Saturday 17th March at Sustainable Living Tasmania. This is an exciting and informative day, and we strongly urge all members to make time to travel along.

FACILITATOR TRAINING:

The first part of this day, commencing at 9:30am, will be filled with an exciting and engaging facilitator training program. Focusing on Welfare guidelines and procedures, and fundamental facilitator tips, this day is a fantastic chance for you to develop your skills - whether you're a first-time facilitator or a seasoned veteran. Facilitator training workshops will be presented by the Executive and Senior Members of UN Youth Tas, and will give delegates an opportunity to upskill themselves, understand the basics of welfare policy and good facilitation, and prepare for State Conference.

MEMBERS MUN:

The afternoon, however, will be full of fun and frivolity, with a super exciting Members MUN debate, commencing at 1:10pm. Delegates will debate a range of resolutions in a relaxed environment, with humor and fun encouraged. This will also be a chance for some of you to develop some of your facilitation experiences through chairing and running debate.

A social event dinner may be organised following this event.  Morning & Afternoon teas, and Lunch, will be provided.

Registrations for the event are now open at: www.unyouthtas.org.au/FTMM12Rego

Last Wednesday evening (16th November 2011) the first of what is hoped to be many public UN Youth Tasmania lectures took place. Professor McCormack is an engaging speaker and a favourite among many UN Youth Tasmania members who has previously given lectures in Tasmania (having grown up a Burnie boy).
